About Me

I'm Abigail, an American living in Paris with a Master's degree in Gastronomy from the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy.

Paris was never actually in the plan. But here we are, just over a year in. I've been an expat for over a decade now, first moving to London in 2014, then Munich, northern Italy for a brief stint, Singapore, and now Paris. Most of my wanderings I can blame on my husband, but that’s a story for another time.

Being back in a temperate climate with four seasons after a few years in the tropics, I've found myself endlessly inspired by the seasonal abundance and rich culinary heritage here in France.

I created Posted from Paris as a way of slowing down and living more seasonally. It’s a way of returning each month to what’s in season and learning to cook with it the French way. It’s about learning that some meals belong to a fleeting moment in the year and nowhere else.

My work is rooted in a simple belief: that good food doesn't need to be complicated, and that the most memorable meals are often the ones tied to a certain time and place. Posted From Paris is for those drawn to a more thoughtful way of cooking and living, who value seasonality, simplicity, and a sense of place, and who believe that even the most ordinary meal can be something worth lingering over.
