About me

I’m Abigail, an American in Paris who studied at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy.

Paris was never actually in the plan. But here we are, just over a year in, and I find myself building something I didn't expect: a slower life, shaped by markets, seasons, and the pleasure of discovering the rich culinary heritage of France. After years of living semi-nomadically in Washington, London, Munich and Singapore, this chapter feels more rooted and more deliberate.

I created Posted From Paris as much for myself as for anyone else. With two small children, my weeks can feel rushed, pulled in too many directions at once. This letter is my way of paying attention, of returning each month to what is growing right now, what is worth cooking, and what is worth lingering over.

I wanted my children to grow up with this awareness. To know the taste of strawberries in June and a tomatoes in August. That the smell of roasted squash means autumn has arrived. That some meals belong to a fleeting moment in the year and nowhere else.

Posted From Paris is for those drawn to a more thoughtful way of cooking and living, who value seasonality, simplicity, and a sense of place.

Sent with care, once a month, from Paris.
